A Successful 2005-2006 Winter Season

After the winter of 2004- 2005, everyone associated with Outdoors for All practically forgot what the “white stuff” looked like.  The majority of lessons were cancelled, warm weather activities served as on-snow alternatives and parkas and snow pants stayed hung in their closets.

Thankfully, we can’t say the same for the winter of 2005-2006.  The snow started falling in November and hasn’t stopped since.  Our mountain partners, The Summit at Snoqualmie, Stevens Pass and Crystal Mountain received fresh powder on a daily basis and were in full operation offering participants and volunteers alike hours of on-snow fun!

Outdoors for All, with the help of nearly 400 winter volunteers, is proud to have served over 400 children and adults with disabilities throughout January, February and March allowing them the opportunity to "exercise their abilities" by participating in activities that included snowshoeing, snoboarding, cross country and downhill skiing.

Successful fundraising events including Mountainfilm and March's Spree at The Summit also contributed to Outdoors for All's successful winter season.

A giant THANK YOU to all those who made this season the enormous success that it was!
