GROUP VOLUNTEERING
Outdoors for All welcomes volunteer groups! Whether you have a group of friends, family, coworkers, teammates, etc., Outdoors for All would love to have your group help out with our programs! A terrific way for your group to volunteer is with our Custom Events, or one day activities, such as hiking.
Custom Events are one-day activities Outdoors for All organizes for small and large groups on weekends and weekdays. For example, we may go cycling with Seattle Children’s Hospital or kayaking with the Washington State Department of Services for the Blind. We are always looking for help with these Custom Events from volunteers – especially groups! You can look through our Online Calendar and Volunteer High Needs Page to see upcoming Custom Events and their respective volunteer needs. If you would like to set up a volunteer group with Outdoors for All, please e-mail Volunteer <at> OutdoorsforAll dot org. Volunteer groups typically go through all necessary orientation and training on the day of their volunteering.

Example Group Volunteer Role for Adaptive Cycling: Join us as a volunteer at one of our many cycling event activities through Custom Events! We need about five volunteers per event to help with loading/unloading, inflating tires and cycling buddies. Bike knowledge helpful but not required. Must provide transportation to event locations. Please bring own bike if possible.
Sponsoring a Custom Event In pursuing our mission, we want to provide affordable recreation opportunities to children and adults with disabilities so that economics are not a barrier to participation. Unfortunately many participant groups may not have much funding to afford Custom Events, even with a scholarship from Outdoors for All. Volunteer groups have the opportunity to help sponsor a Custom Event for a group. Sponsoring a Custom Event will give your group members the amazing satisfaction that they not only volunteered, but they made it completely possible for individuals with disabilities to enjoy the outdoors. Additionally, sponsoring a Custom Event allows you and your group the possibility of setting up a Custom Event on a day that meets your needs that may not already be established. Groups who want to volunteer on a specific date that does not align with current volunteer needs have sponsored a Custom Event, therefore allowing Outdoors for All to coordinate the event based on their schedule. You may be eligible to receive a tax-deductible donation receipt for your sponsorship as well. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at Volunteer <at> OutdoorsforAll dot org. |

Sponsorship levels
Full Sponsorship - $1000 – completely covers all transportation, gear, staffing and other needs for Custom Events for a group. In return, a volunteer group will be recognized on our website, in social media and in our monthly e-newsletter.
Partial Sponsorship - $100-$999 – partially covers all costs associated with Custom Event for group. In return, a volunteer group will be recognized in social media and in our monthly e-newsletter.
Don’t forget about Employee Matching!
Many employers will match employee volunteer hours with donations to the nonprofit the employee volunteered at. These employers include Alaska Air, AT&T, Amazon, Bank of America, Boeing, Cisco, Gap, Google, Microsoft and many more. The money collected from employee matching is put directly into the Outdoors for All Scholarship Fund to give financial aid to participants who are economically challenged. Employees at these companies simply need to log their volunteer hours with their HR department and then Outdoors for All will be notified and be given the money from the employer. If you have any questions, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at Volunteer <at> OutdoorsforAll dot org .
