DAN RETAILLIAU, CTRS

Dan Retailliau is a Pacific Northwest native. He was born and raised in Tacoma and has spent all his years enjoying everything that the state of Washington has had to offer. He started with Outdoors for All as a Therapeutic Recreation Intern in the Summer of 2009 and was given the opportunity to continue with the foundation as a program coordinator.

His experiences have led him all over, from a level 1 professional instructor at the Summit at Snoqualmie and at 49 Degrees North, to whitewater kayaking down the rivers of Idaho. He grew up sailing, cycling, and later developed a love for winter sports, whitewater kayaking, camping, hiking, travel, and experiential learning. He has an insatiable passion for the outdoors and, realizing its intrinsic benefits, has devoted his life to sharing that passion with everyone. Ensuring that others can have the same opportunity to learn and benefit from the outdoors as he has.

Dan Retailliau attended Eastern Washington University holds degrees in Recreation Management and Therapeutic Recreation, and also obtained a minor in communication. He has been credentialed as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist since November 2010.
